How Big Will My Puppy Be?

As a Breeder, my first and main concern is the health & well being of all of my babies, but for many of my puppy customers, this is the 1st subject that they ask me about. The Growth Chart below is just an estimate for what you can expect for your puppy, and as a Breeder, I can never guarantee size and weight. My babies from a typical litter average between 4-6 lbs full growth, and on occasion, I have babies that are smaller.

The most accurate time to get their true adult weight is when they are 8-12 weeks old after they are weaned. The general guideline is to triple they weight at 8 weeks old or double their weight at 12 weeks of age.

How to use the Growth Chart

  1. Locate your puppy’s age in the far left column of the chart.
  2. Weigh your puppy and convert the weight to ounces. ( 1 lb. = 16oz)

For example: If your puppy weighs 2 lbs. 4 oz., calculate as follows: (2 x 16) + 4 = 36 oz.

  1. Move across the row corresponding to your puppy’s age to find their current weight (all weights are listed in ounces except for the final adult weight).
  2. Trace the column downward to determine the estimated adult weight for your puppy.
