Protect Your Pack
When you love someone, you do everything in your power to protect them. I thought I was keeping my dog Luna safe but then she became ill from what my vet could only connect to commonly recommended flea and tick medication and monthly pest control services. I knew there had to be a better way. I founded Wondercide to protect pets, families, and homes with plant-powered formulas that work.

Works as well as topical tick & flea preventive. No toxic chemical is my No1 reason for using it.
**update after 1 year of use** : my dog attracted Lyme disease. I regret using natural product like this one. 1. you need to spray your dog with it every time they go out. 2. it does not kill ticks so any attachment of ticks that last more than 24 hours will expose your dog to Lyme. I no longer use this product and use Advantix II instead. It is no joke getting Lyme disease, my dog was sore at all joints and couldn’t even walk. It was sad to see. Thank God Doxycycline works for my dog, but she continues to test positive for Lyme even she does not show any symptoms. Lyme bacteria is very hard to kill entirely. So whenever your dog is sick and immune system is down, the Lyme can make a come back.Again, don’t buy this product and think you can get rid of ticks. It is useless against ticks.I really hate the smell – it is very strong when first applied, and it lingers for hours. I believe my dog hates it more as their noses are more sensitive. My dog always makes a run for it when I spray her down. Another downside is that you need to spray your dogs with it frequently, like daily. On the label, it says “use as needed for ongoing protection”, and “safe for daily use”. So, basically the manufacturer did not provide any evidence regarding how long the protection lasts after each use. As for the effectiveness, this product does drive away fleas. I saw with my own eyes that a flea jumped for its dear life after I sprayed and fluffed my dog’s coat. The manufacturer said it kills fleas, flea eggs, and larvae, so I would trust that and you should change all beddings, covers, or anything you can throw into the washing machine if you spot a flea issue. Then continue to spray your dog with the product and any furniture they encounter for good measure. After all, you won’t be able to see flea eggs and they are the root cause that your flea problem persists despite all efforts of eliminating adult fleas. As for ticks, I think this product is just as effective as topical tick prevention. First, most oral tick prevention requires the ticks to bite so they can die within 24 hours which is not enough time for them to transmit Lyme disease. Most topical tick prevention contains permethrin so it will prevent and repel tick attachment, but it is not 100%. I suspect the cedar oil smell in Wondercide will repel tick attachment, because I have never found a tick after using the spray that day (but not next day). But I am not 100% sure how cedar oil works on ticks. More science needed to be done. All I know is that ticks are harder to kill than fleas, but most diseases require the tick to attach for more than 48 hours. In other words, finding a slightly engorged (and likely dying) tick on your dog is mostly likely fine as it takes time for them to transmit disease. Anyway, I guess what I am trying to say is that ticks prevention is harder to achieve with Wondercide, but it gives similar level of protection as compared to oral or topical treatment, without the harsh chemicals. As of now, Nov 2023, I was not able to find any better solutions than Wondercide for my dog. Cedar oil seems to be the least toxic solution so I am going to stick with it until something better comes along.

Wondercide Flea and Tick Spray KILLS FLEAS ON CONTACT
So far, this is the best Wondercide flea product that I’ve purchased because it actually works! We are using the lemongrass scent bc the cedarwood is super strong smelling. Fleas jump quickly and disappear if you use a flea comb on dry dog fur. What I discovered is to spray this flea killer on a small area of your dog and then use a flea comb. The fleas the comb catches are dead on contact with this spray! Hallelujah! I always seem to miss a few, so I follow this with Wondercide’s flea shampoo. When rinsing my dogs, I see more dead fleas being floated down the drain. Each day I am seeing less and less fleas in the tub, so I’m praying we are nearing the end of our flea invasion. Please also see my Wondercide review on their ineffective flea collars. However, this flea killing spray and their shampoo works well. I’m about to order more.

Seems Effective!
I have a 1.5 year old 97 lb golden retriever/lab mix – has the same fur consistency as a lab.. We went camping and took our dog with us. I figured that if us humans needed bug spray to protect against mosquitoes then why wouldn’t our dog need the same so we decided to give this product a try. It has a pleasant smell of peppermint and didn’t cause any skin irritation. I took a towel and rubbed it in immediately after applying as it didn’t seem to absorb into his fur, it just made him feel really wet, which would be my only “complaint” if you even want to call it that (I was worried that with it making him so wet that he might try to lick himself and I wasn’t sure how safe that was so rubbing it in made me worry less). I did have to reapply it after swimming in the lake. Seemed to work, I didn’t notice him scratching or anything so as far as I could tell it did its job keeping the bugs away. If they could turn this product into a collar just like those bug repellent bracelets for people, that would be perfect!! Def recommend giving this product a try!

Not toxic!!! It worked exceptionally well.
Non toxic! My dog smells nice nowDidn’t stain my white sheet I used to test on.Washed all the oil out.I have never experienced fleas before. My poor dog was getting bit and I had no idea what was under is thick coat.I thought I’d try this spray out on the balcony in case fleas scattered (which they did)). They starting jumping really high. Scared me at first but kept spraying. I rubbed it in his thick coat and made sure to cover his tail and belly.Laid him on a white sheet on the floor and saw all those dead bugs falling off!I sprayed his bed and carpet etc. I loved that the oils in the so lotion was not toxic as it was all over my hands. Actually made them feel soft.So I knew it would feel good on his skin too.I repeated the process everyday for now. Want to be sure there’s not one alive. I hear they spread quickly. So far I am very happy with this product. I plan to buy another bottle for random sprays. My dog smells nice too!

Read before you buy
First, let me say, I am an all-natural person. I hate chemicals and try to avoid them as much as possible. So I was extremely hopeful for this product to work and wanted to give it a 5-star. I know essential oils are powerful for other bugs, so why wouldn’t this work for fleas on my pets? Well, here is my honest review.Pros:It smells nice (like essential oils and not chemicals). It is safe for you to use. I could put it in my hands, and it was safe for me to touch and for my pets to use. My smaller kitten is allowed to use it (that’s what it says). It killed the fleas; the spray hit on contact.Cons:My pets are all afraid of being sprayed, so I had to use my hands to apply it. Any spots I missed, the fleas would just gather in that area and flee (no pun intended) from the areas with the spray. I have 4 dogs and 4 cats. To treat everyone in the house, my furniture, carpets, and pet bed would require A LOT of this stuff, and it is not cheap. I almost used the whole bottle in one day, and that was just spraying my couch and 5 out of 8 pets. 3 of my pets wouldn’t let me apply it. The scent is extremely STRONG. We couldn’t really be in the same room for a while and needed to ventilate the area. I wanted to spray my bed because I kept getting bitten by fleas, but my husband was against it because the smell is so strong, he wouldn’t be able to sleep on the bed. While it killed the fleas it came in contact with, within 24 hours, fleas were crawling all over my pets again, like nothing ever happened. I know I have to treat the carpets and everything (which I did with another natural ingredient and then sprayed this over the carpet a few days later), but if this stuff is supposed to repel, it’s not doing a great job.Needless to say, we are now trying diatomaceous earth, which is another all-natural alternative that I believe is going to work much better and hopefully will be much more cost-effective. I was going to buy this stuff for my yard, but seeing that it only is working for a few hours, I don’t want to waste my money and have to figure something else out that will be more effective.

Smells Great!
Smells great! Hard to determine effectiveness due to the fact we are using a flea treatment from the vet on the cats. We sprayed the house with this and in combination with a direct application on the kittens, the fleas are going away!

THIS ONE ACTUALLY WORKED, SO FAR???!!??!
For the regular 16oz version:None of the cats enjoy being sprayed, but they were far tamer with this method vs BATHING them with flea shampoo. Tested this spray on short-hair and long-haired kittens. They seemed fine. An older cat sneezed and began heavily drooling, but other than that, he seems fine. The fleas made a mad-dash to the face; even a gloved fingertip laced with the stuff was enough to deter them and cause them to slow down before they stopped moving. It took a couple of these finger swipes to get them, but some were too fast for me.I also sprayed a box a cat loved to frequent, and a hidden flea popped up right after. I should have had my phone on me to prove the effectiveness of this product while I watched it squirm around in a short circle over and over before ultimately stopping. It were a larger one, too. The spray must’ve hit that flea so hard, it didn’t know which way it were going.I were skeptical about trying this brand, due to the main ingredient being cedar-related. The first flea spray I ever tried was “Cedarcide”. All it did was slow a flea down for a bit, or lure them out towards the cats’ faces where I frantically had to comb/pluck them out bit by bit if I could catch them.Next, I tried Vet’s Best. It didn’t seem to do much, and it scared me to use it in the home and on the cats due to the peppermint, but they turned out perfectly okay. But there were still fleas and they were multiplying fast.I kept cleaning/spraying around the house with different anti-flea brands, washing fabrics and grooming the cats, feeding them flea preventative chews and giving them baths; nothing seemed to work, my arms were getting mega scratched up by multiple unhappy wet and soapy cats, and I was about to give up. I were skeptical to try Wondercide’s cedar spray due to, now, knowing cedar oil only repelled fleas and did not get rid of them. But, now I’m surprised. The cats knew it were helping them, but they still did not enjoy it. For one of the long-hairs, the best example this stuff were actually doing something was whenever I would comb that kitty after a spraying/bath, massive globs of flea dirt and rapidly moving fleas would immediately catch my eye. This time, the usual mass of flea dirt were lifted away, but NONE of the fleas were moving. That was great enough proof for me!And when I sprayed flat surfaces that appeared to have, what I guess, were teeny tiny flea eggs, they practically exploded—as in, most of them were there one second then gone the next as if they just dissolved away. A few still remained, but overall, things seem A LOT BETTER after emptying more than half the bottle along the environment and on multiple cats. The aftermath left them with sticky/clammy-feeling fur though. There have been a grand total of about 2 scratches had from 2 different cats at fleas I might have missed, as of yet. It’s still too soon for me to cast a final definitive verdict, but so far so good. I wish I had tons more of this stuff, now!!!Update: Two days later, after the extra strong aroma calmed down, some fleas reappeared seemingly out of thin air, again!🤣 Thankfully, nowhere near the usual amount. And no more flea eggs have fallen, in plain sight, so far.—Review for the larger version:Despite the pricey cost, so far, this still has been the only topical treatment that seems to actually help!As I’d originally bought the regular smaller size, after spraying the majority of two stories, the stuff was already less than half by the time I got to the cats. With this larger bottle, there was plenty left over afterward! I were able to not only spray the cats, but to do so for two different days. It were wild watching some of the fleas fall right off.Overall, this Wondercide brand is a bit hit or miss? But is still mostly effective. After spraying, once again, the cats tended to not scratch for a stretch of hours—then once they do, upon inspection, new fleas seemed to have spawned out of the ether. Even when the cat had remained in roughly the same spot or area—magically, a sudden fresh batch appears. At least, the size of this new horde is, again, typically far more meager, in comparison—but it still causes me to frown deeper than M. Bison, and think a thundering: ‘H O W ?!!!!???!!! WHERE ARE THEY COMING FROM?!!?’ Haha.As previously mentioned , the cats absolutely detest being sprayed, but they recognize that this stuff must do more good than not for them, as they readily accept what is to occur next when they see me pick up the bottle—compared to how much they’d try to scratch my head off, while I’m holding them, if they so much as glance at a tub or sink of water. So, I’d call that a win. It’s great seeing them able to nap or play, and not need to scratch for a while—but once that hind leg eventually goes up, sometime later in the day, that disheartens me and has me wonder if maybe there is some temporary itch-numbing occurring as opposed to a full-on specific flea clear out by the ingredients.I’ve no idea, but this stuff is the closest we’ve been to a flea-triumphant victory, so far. I’m not happy about that $30+ price tag, but it is lasting longer than the regular size—for me, anyway. It’s also genius marketing: have the biggest size cost an outrageous $100+, the smaller $20+, and the middle-sized one that is actually set up to be THE preferred purchase choice, is only ten bucks more? That makes the middle one the star decision, IMO. Welp, it worked! Haha.Oh, and this time, flea eggs have fallen across surfaces again.

Wondercide Works!!!
I have been using Wondercide (Lemongrass) on my dog “Sam” for 2 years now, and it really works!!! I never wanted to give my dog any type of chemical based protection, so I went the natural way. I tried a few other all natural protectants from other companies, and they did nothing. I heard about Wondercide, and I gave it a try! Two years later, and I am going to order another bottle. Sam hates to be sprayed, but I tell him that it is for his own good, and I think he understands! I have been using the Lemongrass scented spray, and it is very strong smelling, but it works!!! Springtime here in Northern Michigan is a pain, as the ticks come out of hibernation, and they are hungry!!! Thanks to Wondercide, my worries are less now! I only spray Sam about every 3 or 4 days as the effects last long. As long as he smells like a lemon, I know that it is working. I am going to try the Peppermint scented spray this time, so he can smell like a candy cane, Lol. Since using Wondercide, I only notice a tick here and there on Sam, and it is in areas that I may not have treated well. Hey, don’t underestimate ticks. They are smart and they climb trees, and drop on you from above. I have seen them on the ceiling, and if you have an overhang on the porch, they can drop on you from there. When they are hungry, they will find you!!! Wondercide is the only thing that really works!!! I have spent too many dollars on other things, and they didn’t do crap!!!! Sam is much happier, and I am too!!! I have not seen any fleas on Sam either. If you don’t want to put your pets life at risk by using these chemical based products, that can kill your pet, then I strongly recommend giving Wondercide a try!!! You won’t be sorry!!! I spray Sam around the body, and then rub it into his fur. Avoid the genital area, and do not spray it in their face! I spray some in my hand, and gently rub it around the face area. Your pet will thank you!!!! Now days too many companies claim to be able to keep your pet safe from critters, but they are only looking at the profits that they can make, and not what is actually good for your pet!!!! Well, one more time I will say, try Wondercide and I think that you and your pet will find happiness!!!

Anyone want to start a Flea Support Group?
I have NEVER written a review before, but I wrote a very similar one about VETS BEST as well. This past month and a half of dealing with a severe flea infestation has been one of the most challenging times I’ve ever experienced. I have spent so much money and tossed out so many things. I feel like we all need a support group. Did WONDERSIDE totally magically fix my issue, no, but did it help immensely, speed the process up, and help with my state of mind? Sure did!Side note: HOW is there no easy way in the year 2023 to get rid of fleas?!?I don’t want to get my hopes up too much that I am completely rid of Fleas, but I think I am for sure on somewhat of the other side of it. What I found most helpful during this process was reading everyone else’s experiences, so I’ll share mine in the hopes it helps at least one other person. My indoor (never outdoor, untreated) cat had been leaving this blackish dirt everywhere. I really had no idea what it was, I usually have my windows and screen door open and there was a lot of construction around my apartment, silly me just figured it was that…Well, I was scrolling through TikTok one night, and this woman is talking about how she noticed ‘flea dirt’ on her foster kitten, at that moment, everything just clicked into place for me. I checked my poor cat out, and sure enough I saw the little buggers. The next morning I woke up and my life has not been the same.Called the vet and they couldn’t get him in for a few days (because of course), so I attempted a flea bath, but nothing is going to work until you treat the animal and start seriously treating your house. I have been vacuuming every single day, twice a day. I start with my big vacuum going around each and every wall of the house with the hose, and then I do a big vacuum. I then send the Roomba around. I did ultimately decide to toss my rugs, which some say was an overreaction, but anyone who is deep in the middle of this I think can understand. I vacuum the couch every other day. I did lay a sheet down over it, so the cat would have less contact. It took me about a week to start using the spray. I bought WONDERSIDE, I bought both the Lemongrass and Cedarwood sent. I genuinely liked the smell of the Cedarwood. The Lemongrass was a little too pungent. However, I will take any strong smell for 5 mins than have fleas running wild.I attempted to spray my cat down with it, which he HATED, but had to do it. Just a note, he started drooling at the mouth, which is normal and should stop in a few seconds. I poured a bit of it in a bowl and let him chow down on treats while I rubbed it into his fur.The only downsides about WONDERSIDE is that it is on the pricier side. As I was bleeding money, I was looking for a cheaper alternative, and I started using VETS BEST. Again, I cannot directly know for sure if this has done anything more than give me a little peace of mind, but let’s put it this way, I just placed 3 orders. And I will say that I do think that it has 100% sped up this never-ending process. So, what would I say to someone just starting this terrible journey?1. Treat your animal. My indoor cat will never be off flea meds for the rest of his life. I never want to go through this again.2. Start vacuuming daily, and if you have a roomba, send that around too. Empty the vacuum OUTSIDE every time. It’s also a good way to check your progress.3. Brush your pet daily. I had a bowl of hot water with Dawn Dish Soap so they would die a hot soapy death.4. Wash bedding every other day at least. (This has been the hardest, as I live in an apartment and have to pay for laundry, but you HAVE to do it)5. Spray around the house every few days and then don’t vacuum to let it sit.6. If you can get rid of your rugs, I would…truly whatever gives your peace of mind, that’s important.7. CapStar! You can get it from your vet or way cheaper on Chewy. I wish I had known about this pill sooner.8. I spoke with exterminators, and they said that they can come ‘treat’ the house, but given the life cycle of fleas, they’ll have to come back again. Really the only thing you can do is vacuum.I like to think that over a month in a half in, I am almost on the other side and now am just maintaining to keep the next cycle at bay. But I cannot recommend this product enough.Good. Luck.

Long time user – but MUST apply often and still do tick checks. (Read to see my personal test)
ONLY TESTED FOR TICKS…I give it 5 stars because I think it has favorable properties and does provide natural protection. I am NOT a chemical user on my dog, so finding and using natural products is a MUST. As with any product, continued use is warranted. I need to apply once a day and still do a tick check. Ticks could still be found on my dog, but who knows how many were repelled had I not used this product. I have been using this product for years and particularly love the peppermint scent. It has tones of peppermint and cedar. While it is strong scented at first when applied and wets the fur, once it dries the smell isn’t as bad. To apply to face or sensitive areas I spray in my hand then direct apply. Otherwise I spray on and massage in to the fur. I have even used it on myself and my shoes. It’s my product of choice.PERSONAL TEST: I was in a heavily infested tick area and my dog had ticks on her that once we finished our walk I checked her. None had attached yet. As I removed them, I placed them in a small cup filled about 1/2 inch with this product. None of the ticks were able to crawl out once submerged in the product. It immobilized them completely. My only regret that day was I should have sprayed her harder than I did.
